The Company during COVID-19
NUDANCO will be hosting in-person events for the 2023-2024 academic year! This includes dancer auditions, weekly rehearsals, and the end-of-semester showcase. However, we will still be following all CDC, state-mandated, and campus guidelines and will keep all company members updated with information as the semester goes along. We encourage all current students interested in the company to follow us on Instagram @nudanco and join the club on our Engage page.
FAQ about Fall 2023
When are auditions this year?
Our choreographer auditions will be held on September 13th and our dancer auditions will be on September 16th. Keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook pages for more information. Hope to see you there!
Yes, there will be a performance this semester! The show date is currently set for December 9th, so clear your calendars and invite all your friends to watch NUDANCO that day.
How can I join the company? |
We hold auditions at the beginning of each semester for choreographers and dancers. Follow us on Instagram @nudanco and like our Facebook page to keep an eye out for more information! Look for us at Fall Fest to get on our email list as well.
Should I audition even if I don't have that much dance experience? |
Yes, we encourage everyone to come out to auditions! Our company members are typically former pre-professional/competition dancers, but our pieces range in styles from ballet to Irish step to jazz and more, so there's something for everyone. Regardless, our dancer auditions are a fun day of dance workshops. Hope to see you there!
Is NUDANCO affiliated with any dance
No. Northeastern does not offer any dance majors or minors, but NUDANCO is a great way to continue your dance career in college! The company is a student-run organization, meaning students choreograph the pieces that we perform at our professional showcase at the end of each semester.
How often does the company rehearse? |
Company members are limited to three dances per semester, all of which rehearse for one hour every week, but if you are choreographing a piece, you are allowed to participate in your own number as well. The semester schedule is finalized after dancer auditions, so we hope to see you there!
Where are rehearsals usually held? |
Rehearsals are held in the dance studios in Curry Student Center. If details of the location change, your choreographers/eboard members will let you know.
